Service Level Agreement

What is a service level agreement?

 A service level agreement (SLA) is a formal agreement between The Link, schools and services across the Tees Valley that is negotiable to the needs/requirements of your organisation.

Here at The Link we can be flexible in how we deliver our Service Level Agreements, please see our SLA model below;

Service Level Agreement Model A

  1. Monthly Consultation (attendance of the allocated practitioner at the schools regular consultation, either through Getting Help or the Mental Health Support Team). The young person will be discussed in the huddle and the most appropriate service will be allocated. If the young person is suitable for the Non Directive services at the Link they will undergo the referral process.
  2. The young person will have access to all service areas within The Link and will be offered a Care Planning Meeting to assess the young person's appropriateness to engage in therapy. If CYP IAPT Services are more suitable the young person can still be navigated through this area of the service. However if the young person is suitable for non directive services they will be allocated to the appropriate waiting list.
  3. The young person can have access to a variety of services including Psychotherapy, Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Art Psychotherapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Emotional Wellbeing support, Systemic Family Practice and group work.
  4. In the huddle school will have access to a Mental Health Practitioner who is able to keep them up to date on the care of the children and young people referred to The Link and support the wider school network in the child's development.
  5. The school could also access team training outside of the remit of the MHST and Getting Help services. These training modules include: Understanding Attachment, Understanding Trauma, The Impact of Gaming and Social Media, An Introduction to Therapeutic Services, An Introduction to Self Harm, An Introduction to FASD, Building Resilience, Adverse Childhood Experiences among multiple others.
  6. The SLA usage will be monitored in the monthly consultation and a yearly review.

 Service Level Agreement Model B

An identified practitioner will be placed in your school for an agreed weekly slot. In this slot the practitioner can offer a range of therapeutic intervention dependent on both the needs of the client and their skills. The practitioner will work in partnership with the school to manage their waiting list providing bespoke 1-1 intervention or therapeutic/psycho-educative group work for children that have an identified mental health need. Essentially the school will be able to use the practitioners skills in a way that most suits their individual needs potentially providing Training, Staff Drop ins, Group Intervention, Mental Health assemblies, signposting, alongside any therapeutic intervention. This will depend on the school's needs and will be discussed and reviewed with the identified practitioner and their line manager/clinical lead.

We can arrange for our Operations Manager or Therapeutic Lead to meet with representatives from the school to discuss individual school needs and the benefits of The Link Service Level Agreement.
